Club Notes Naomh Adhamhnáin 06.08.18

The Seniors Hurlers have played two championship games in the last week, last Tuesday they were narrowly beaten by Burt but they bounced back on Saturday evening to win a close game against Buncrana to book their place in the semi-finals where they will meet either Burt or Setanta. There is a semi-final double-header in O’Donnell Park this Saturday evening with full details tbc.

The Senior Footballers hosted Aodh Ruadh, BS in a league game on Monday and picked up another two points to remain in second place in the table as the build-up to the opening Championship game at home to Gaoth Dobhair on September 9th continues. The Reserves had no game. There were no fixtures scheduled for next week at time of writing notes.

The Junior Men travel to Naomh Conaill on Sunday (12th) for a League game, their first game in a long time. Throw-in at 1pm.

The Minor boy’s footballers had another big win over Carndonagh in the final Championship group game and they advance as group winners to the q-finals that take place on August 22nd. The Div. 3 team are at home to Robert Emmett’s / N. Padraig this Wednesday (8th) in a championship group game. The next round of games in the League take place on Wednesday, Aug. 15th with the Div. 1 team at home to St. Michael’s and the Div. 3 team away to St. Mary’s, Convoy.

The Minor Girls football return from Boston on Tuesday and will be bringing the O’Neills Premier Cup home with them after defeating the USGAA All-Stars and New York All-Stars (twice) at the Continental Youth Championships over the last week.

The Minor girls Camóg’s are at home to Four masters next Monday night in their county semi-final, throw-in at 7:30pm.

The U16 Girls footballers will take on old rivals Termon in the County Final this Saturday with details tbc.

The U16 Hurlers had another good win last Tuesday against Dungloe and they host Letterkenny Gaels this Thursday evening, throw-in at 7pm.

The U16 Camógs were short several players for their trip to Burt on Monday night due to the Minor girls trip to the USA and were defeated.

The U15 Boys won the NRB Óg Sport Gael 7-a-side in Killygordon on Friday night and will return to the Red Hugh’s venue for the County Finals this Saturday (11th). Best wishes to Peadar McGeehin on a speedy recovery from his bad arm injury.

The U14 Girls footballers lost their county semi-final to Killybegs last week and will now take a break until the end of August.

The U14 Boys footballers get their Championship up and running this Friday (10th). At the minute both teams are scheduled to be at home – to N. Columba and N. Brid / Pettigo respectively but that may change to accommodate travelling teams.

There was a superb days football at the Annual James Gallagher Cup (U12) on Saturday in the Park. The day was very well organised by Anthony Farren and there was a huge volunteer effort to ensure the smooth running of the games. Thanks to all our visiting teams for travelling. The James Gallagher Cup was won by St. Eunan’s who defeated St. Canice’s, Dungiven in the Final.

The U12 hurlers had a good win away to MacCumhaills last Thursday evening and they are away to Letterkenny Gaels this Thursday.

Circle K Cash for Clubs will be ending shortly so make sure if you are visiting any Circle K (Tobin’s) or Topaz (Glencar or Mountain Top) that you nominate your points for St. Eunan’s.
